Infrastructure requirements
PoE 802.3af (Class 3, max 7W). Single CAT5e/CAT6 run from the PoE switch (max 100m). Indoor temperature-rated; not for unheated or exterior environments.
VMS compatibility
ONVIF Profile S/T/G compatible. Tested with Milestone XProtect, Genetec Security Center, Hanwha Wave, DW Spectrum, and i-PRO WV-ASM. RTSP stream available for legacy NVRs.
NDAA-aware positioning
Hanwha Vision (Samsung Techwin lineage) — confirmed NDAA Section 889 compliant. Manufacturer compliance documentation available on request for federal procurement files.
Storage & network implications
~2 Mbps average at 1080p H.265 SmartStream — ~21 GB per day, ~630 GB for 30-day retention. Smart codec drops bitrate further in low-motion scenes.
