Dual-path commercial communicator — Verizon LTE cellular + Ethernet IP, with sub-2-minute failover. The supervised-transport layer that decides whether your customer’s monitoring contract pays out on an outage event.

Deployment context

Any DSC PowerSeries Neo commercial deployment requiring central station monitoring. Mandatory for ULC-S304 commercial burglary spec which requires dual-path supervision. Single-path (IP-only or cell-only) installs are increasingly out-of-spec for new commercial contracts.

Zones, inputs & wiring architecture

Not applicable (communicator module). Plug into the panel’s PC-Link bus; receives event data from the panel and transports to the central station.

Communicator & monitoring compatibility

LTE-M (Verizon network, CAT-M1) + Ethernet IP. SIA DC-09 over IP, Contact ID. Encrypted transport (TLS 1.2). Supervised polling at 60-second intervals via cellular and IP simultaneously. DLS-5 remote programming, SureView Connect mobile app via path.

False alarm & reliability positioning

Dual-path failover ensures monitoring resilience during single-network outages. Path-fault reporting to central station within 60 seconds of supervised-poll miss. Signal-strength reporting (cellular RSSI) helps installer pick the right antenna location.

UL1610, UL985 (when in fire-burg config), ULC-S304. FCC Part 15. Verizon-certified LTE-M module.
