Altronix AL600ULB 6A 12VDC Access Power Supply

12VDC 6A access control power supply, ULB-listed, for 8-12 door installations or single-cabinet 4-door installs with high-current maglocks.

Deployment context

Mid-density commercial access deployments: 8-12 doors single cabinet, or 4-6 doors with 1500lb maglocks pulling 0.7A each. Standard wall-mount or rack-mount installation.

Load characteristics & current behavior

6A continuous at 12VDC. Supports up to 6 simultaneous maglock holds at full inrush margin. AC failure transfers to battery within ~16ms — fast enough that locks don’t release.

Failure & backup behavior

Form-C low battery and AC-fail relay outputs for monitoring integration. Battery presence supervised. Output PTC-protected. No per-output reporting (combined fault output only).

UL / safety standards

UL294 (access control), CSA C22.2 No. 60950-1, FCC Class B. Listed for battery-backed operation.

Runtime considerations

With 18Ah SLA: ~3 hours at 6A continuous. With 33Ah: ~5.5 hours. Code-minimum 4-hour spec hit with 24Ah battery pair.
